Toa solution of 6-[(4,4-difluoro-1-piperidinyl)sulfonyl]-1-[1-(trifluoroacetyl)-4-piperidinyl]-2,3-dihydro-1H-indole(537 mg, 1.12 mmol) in THF (9mL) at 0°C underargon was added 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (279 mg, 1.23 mmol) dropwise as a solution in THF (4mL). The mixture was stirred at 0°C for 30 minutes then at room temperatureovernight. Ethyl acetate (20mL) and water (20mL) were added to the reactionmixture which was then adjusted to pH 10-11 using ~6M aqueous sodium hydroxidesolution. The organic layer was isolated then the aqueous layer was extracted furtherwith ethyl acetate (3x20mL). The combined organics were dried over sodiumsulfate, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to afford the title compound as anorange solid (492 mg, 92%)
